Derrick Halley, a 54 year old Union resident was arrested on 8-18-16 after a Detective recovered forensic evidence from the scene of an attempted burglary to a dwelling located on Hartford Rd. The evidence identified the subject as the actor responsible.

A Newark resident stated that during the evening of 8-26-16 he was playing basketball at the Community Center when an unknown actor removed his wallet from his backpack. The wallet contained his personal identification and credit cards.

An Orange resident stated that he was walking on Meadowbrook Pl. when four juvenile black males approached him and asked to use his phone. When the victim refused the actors assaulted him knocking him to the ground. The actors then fled south on foot.

Jackson Roberts, a 24 year old South Orange resident was arrested on 8-29-16 at approximately 12:05pm after he was observed consuming alcohol while walking on South Orange Ave. in violation of the Village ordinance prohibiting same.

Keith Tilhgman, a 31 year old Newark resident was arrested on 8-31-16 at approximately 8:30am after a Varsity Rd resident had reported a burglary and theft from his garage on 8-28-16. The homeowner had captured video surveillance of the actor involved.

A Hamilton Rd. resident stated that between 8:00pm on 8-29-16 and 7:30pm the following day an unknown actor(s) had removed the American Flag he had placed on his front lawn which had the quote "Never Forget" written on the bottom of same.

A Bayonne resident stated that on 8-31-16 at approximately 10:15pm three young black males attempted gain entry into the vehicle (13 Ford) which was parked on Montrose St. on the Newark line. The driver's side door lock was damaged during the incident.

Derrick Haley, a 55 year old Union resident who had recently been arrested and charged for committing burglaries to dwellings was additionally for burglary to a Holland Rd. dwelling after forensic evidence recovered by a Detective matched the subject.

A victim stated that an unknown actor had entered the complex (apartments) located at Third and Valley and removed approximately $1,300 in tools from a large tool box after cutting off the lock. There were no signs of a forced entry into the complex.
